[edit] Evolving MIT Campus

This was a project with a vision to transform MIT's campus with extraordinary architectural buildings and was quite successful at doing so. Many of MIT's defining characteristics come from these exceptional landmarks. Although individual construction projects had varying schedules, the administration did a good job at recruiting architects, always having a new building in the works, and completed the vision in the initial allotted time frame. Compare this to the sydney pacific graduate dorm construction projects...

[edit] Student Center Food Services

The student center has transformed over the years, but the most recent transformation has been quite successful. The Office of Campus Dining has done a great job of offering many vendors with different food varieties in a competitive market economy. The vendors were chosen based on student opinion through undergraduate wide surveys, and the competition creates better prices and higher quality for students.

[edit] Addressing the RBA issue

This last year Administrators finally listened to students concerning the RBA lock-in housing lottery issue at Next House. This coming year, Next House students will be able to enter the adjustment lottery. This decision occurred after the insistence of the Next House Housemasters with help from the Housing Office, directed towards the UAAP. It took many years of declining satisfaction for anything to be done, but it did finally happen. We'll see how it works out next year.

[edit] Using Course 4 to Design Buildings on Campus

Many successful building projects have been completed from within MIT. The Nuclear Reactor is a great example of how the design of students and professors can be incorporated into a real complex construction project.
